Carly fell in love with boxing after having a tough time and a friend took her to a free Boxercise class. She had never considered herself particularly sporty or into the gym but boxing brought her a new lease of life in mind and body. She later started to train with a coach who had competed and realised she wanted to retrain and dedicate her life to a sport she never in a milion years thought she’d be involved in. Now she can’t imagine being without it. It brings joy and peace as well as a lot of fun.

In her professional career, she’s spent more than ten years successfully leading large scale community projects across health and social care, and brings this expertise into her work. She loves creating a vibe and bringing people together over something they’re passionate about, in this case, boxing.

Carly is a level two England Boxing coach and level three personal trainer. She has had a white collar bout so far, but due to injury has had to put competing on hold for the time being but hopes to get back through the ropes soon.

Gyal Dem Fight Dem is a space she wishes she had been able to access when she started out and hopes that you all love it as much as she does.
